Insulation & Subsidy Amounts
Different insulation types qualify for subsidy depending on the material, installation method, and insulation performance (Rd-value).
Below you can see what we install, which materials are included, and how to estimate the subsidy based on your home’s surface area.
Which materials are included in the subsidy?
The subsidy applies to insulation materials that meet the ISDE requirements and are listed under the official product/reporting codes (meldcodelijst).
Common qualifying materials include:
-
PIR / PUR boards
-
Mineral wool (glass wool / rock wool)
-
Blown-in insulation (depending on application)
-
Bio-based materials (wood fibre, cellulose, etc.) when they meet the MKI requirements
Bio-based bonus (extra € per m²)
If you choose approved bio-based insulation, you can receive extra subsidy per m² on top of the standard amount:
-
Roof insulation: + €5 / m² ✅
-
Attic floor insulation: + €1.50 / m²
-
Floor insulation: + €2 / m²
-
Ground/crawl space insulation: + €1 / m²
Standard subsidy amounts (ISDE)
The subsidy is paid as € per m², depending on the measure. (Amounts can change yearly.)
Examples (2026):
-
Roof insulation: €16.25 / m²
-
Attic floor insulation: €4.00 / m²
-
Floor insulation: €5.50 / m²
-
Ground insulation: €3.00 / m²
How it’s calculated
Subsidy = Surface area (m²) × Standard rate (€ / m²)
+ Bio-based bonus (if applicable)
✅ Example (roof insulation – 60m²):
-
Standard: 60 × €16.25 = €975
-
Bio-based bonus: 60 × €5 = €300
-
Total estimated subsidy: €975 + €300 = €1,275

Double Measure
If you combine two insulation measures (for example roof + floor, or attic + floor), the subsidy amount per m² is usually doubled. This means you can receive a significantly higher total subsidy compared to doing only one measure.
Not sure what combination is best for your home? We can calculate it for you and help you choose the most cost-effective option.
